Satomi and Yoko demonstrating the tea ceremony
Satomi has generously offered to lead this meeting and Elizabeth has offered to host our Sogetsu group at her home in Seatoun. Satomi is a qualified teacher of Japanese Tea ceremony and will prepare a tea ceremony for us. Get in touch with Helen if you need more details - helen.wareham66@gmail.com
Flowers for tea ceremony are small and simple and we will arrange Hanayose ikebana. In this tradition participants choose 2 or 3 simple flowers and arrange them in a small vase. Please bring your hasami, a small container and a few flower stems. The flowers and containers will be shared, and Elizabeth has offered the use of her containers if you are not sure what to bring.
This will be a special way to finish our Sogetsu activities for 2020, and there will also be some Christmas treats to get us in the festive mood.
