We are very sad to announce that our lovely friend and colleague, Barbara Fowler died on April 7 2019. She will be sadly missed.
We knew Barbara through Ikebana International, Wellington Chapter #158. She worked tirelessly as the President and committee member for many years. We all enjoyed her friendship and arranging flowers together at our many sessions.
Whenever we came round to her house, Barbara would have delicious, freshly baked muffins and strong coffee for us. She was delightfully happy and cheery and nothing was too much of a burden for her. We always admired her beautiful ikebana arrangement in the hallway when we visited. We would take a stroll round her magnificent garden and she would share her love of art through the many lovely pieces on the walls.
